Developer Guidelines
What it takes to get your app accepted into the TMG App Store.
Every submission is reviewed against these guidelines before it's published. Meeting them gives your app the best chance of a fast approval and a great experience for users.
Design Requirements
- A clear, high-resolution app icon (at least 512×512px) and at least one screenshot or video preview.
- An honest tagline and description that accurately reflect what your app does.
- A consistent visual identity — no misleading logos, impersonation of other brands, or copyrighted assets you don't own.
- Listings must be readable, well-formatted, and free of placeholder or Lorem Ipsum content.
Security Requirements
- Apps must not collect sensitive personal data without clear disclosure and consent.
- No malware, spyware, or behavior that degrades user devices or other apps.
- External links and install URLs must be secure (HTTPS) and lead to the app you submitted — not redirects to unrelated sites.
- Developers are responsible for keeping their app and its backend secure and up to date.
Quality Requirements
- The app must be functional — core features should work without crashing on supported devices.
- Pricing must be transparent: clearly state one-time or subscription pricing and tier details.
- Provide a demo link or video when possible so reviewers can verify the experience.
- Keep your app maintained — respond to user reviews and ship updates when issues are reported.
Submission Checklist
- Complete every field on the Developer Submission form, including category and pricing.
- Upload an icon, screenshots, and a short video preview for the best results.
- Pay the one-time $25 developer fee (waivers available with a valid coupon code).
- Include a valid install/app URL so users can actually get your app after approval.
Prohibited Content
- Illegal content, weapons instructions, or content that exploits or harms minors.
- Misleading, fraudulent, or deceptive apps — including fake functionality or fake reviews.
- Apps that infringe on trademarks, copyrights, or the IP of others.
- Spam, duplicated listings, or apps that exist only to drive traffic elsewhere.
Review Process
- Submissions enter a manual review queue and are typically reviewed within a few business days.
- Approved apps are published to the marketplace immediately.
- Rejected submissions include a review note explaining what to fix before resubmitting.
- Serious or repeated violations may result in removal of listings or developer access.
